Ingredients
- 1 kg. potatoes
- 200 ml milk
- 200 ml mayonnaise
- 100 g. cheese, shredded
- garlic powder
- 12 - 16 strips of bacon
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3 - 4 green onions
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into medium sized pieces. Add to a pot with water to cover and boil until soft, 20 - 30 minutes.
- dice the bacon and fry it 10 minutes before the potatoes are done.
- Warm the milk and mayonnaise in a small saucepan.
- Drain the potatoes, add warm milk and mayonnaise, butter, and mix. Mash with a potato masher.
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste and continue mashing the mix.
- Once the mix is homogeneous incorporate the shredded cheese and fried bacon.
- Serve, top with chopped green onions.
Serves 4.
